Jonathan and I met on a dating app in May 2024. We are so grateful for God’s incredible timing! One thing we quickly connected over was our alma mater, Grove City College! Though we were both students there at the same time, our paths would not cross until several years later. During the spring and summer months to follow, we learned so much while sharing in each others favorite activities— sightseeing on long walks in downtown Annapolis, rifling cross-court shots at each other in pickleball, and smashing line drives at the batting cages. A healthy scoop of ice cream dates and roadtrips sprinkled throughout the summer let us build a connection over shared values regarding our faith, our family, and our idea of fun being crossing things off a to-do list! Meeting each other’s families, which can feel nerve-wracking, was anything but! While the family dinner tables are a little different in size, we immediately felt comfortable and happily enjoyed countless meals and conversations around them. While Jonathan was introduced to what life was like with three siblings, I got a taste of a less chaotic dinnertime at the Lim’s! In October, I organized my annual Navy tailgate party and hosted my family for the event in Annapolis. What I didn’t know was that Jonathan was also secretly planning an event of his own for the next day…a surprise PROPOSAL! His thoughtfulness (and multi-slide PowerPoint) paid off when I said YES and we all celebrated together with our families! We can’t wait to continue our story with you this July in Annapolis!
