Jon first noticed me in a post that my friend, Kim, posted. In high school, I used to always go to Culvers after sports games or random times with friends. Jon worked at the Culvers in Ripon that I went to. He would be back in the kitchen working and he would see me come in. After seeing me multiple times he asked a friend for my snapchat. He messaged me a couple times, but I ignored him. Eventually, I decided to talk to him and soon realized that he was a good guy and I actually liked him. Our first date was at, you guessed it, Culvers!

For the first couple years of us being together, we were so busy with work and school that we never got the chance to take a trip anywhere. We finally graduated, worked for a whole summer, moved into our first place, and then took our first trip together to Arizona! Little did I know it was going to be a very special vacation. Our first full day in Arizona we hiked a lot and then went for dinner at a little winery down the road. We got back to our bungalow where we were going to take some pictures of the sunset. Jon starts setting up my camera and I should have known something was up when he said, "Let's take a picture together." We get in our spots, the timer started counting down, and that was when Jon got down on one knee. The first words that come out of my mouth were "Are you serious?" but then I said "YES!" in tears. The moment was captured perfectly!
