I have been told that the hotels book up really fast this time of year so if you plan on spending the night/weekend here in Julian... don’t wait until the last minute to book because you might find yourself out of a place to stay! 
Airbnb or homestay are also good sites to look on as well as the traditional hotel option!
Another Option would be to stay in Escondido and carpool with other people!
