Yes! Transportation on wedding day will be provided from Hampton Inn to the Barnsley Resort before the ceremony and after the reception.
The ceremony and reception will be black tie. Please note our ceremony will take place in grass, so plan your footwear accordingly. Block heels, platforms, flats, etc. are recommended.
No, we encourage making dinner reservations on property before the welcome party. There are 3 restaurants available for dinner at the Barnsley.
The dress code for the welcome party will be dressy-casual. For women, we recommend dresses and boots/booties, or pants with top. Reminder the event will be outdoors so dress warmly. Men do not need to wear ties.
Both! The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors, while the reception will be indoors. Because our wedding is happening in December and in the south, it could be 20 degrees or 80 degrees! In the event of mild chilly weather, we plan to have heaters and fireplaces on during cocktail hour. In the event of extreme cold or rain, we will move the ceremony to an indoor chapel, and will head over to the reception hall for cocktail hour.
Yes! There is a Hampton Inn just 15 minutes away from the Barnsley. To reserve a room in our block either at the Barnsley or Hampton, please book by October 28, 2025.
While we love your little ones, we have decided to keep our wedding festivities adults-only. We kindly ask that you make arrangements in advance so that you can relax and enjoy the weekend with us!
Barnsley Resort has 3 primary restaurants: the Biergarten, The Woodlands, and Jules. For more information on each restaurant, or to make reservations at the Woodlands or Jules, please visit their website: www.barnsleyresort.com/dine
Our guest list is limited, so we can only accommodate those who are formally invited on your invitation. Thank you for understanding!
