We actually crossed paths several times throughout our time at UW-Platteville. It was just never the right moment though until fall of 2017. While it took a while for someone to come around (*cough* Alison *cough*), April 2018 brought the start of a beautiful relationship! But that of course was after hanging out for the first time in a college basement with Jon wearing some questionable safari gear. Ever since then, there's been no looking back!

On a Goetz family vacation to Disney, Magic Kingdom was our first stop. Getting to this moment was quite the adventure as Alison had almost seen the ring several times (thanks TSA...)! But alas here we are, on Main Street USA in front of Cinderella's castle on a toasty Florida morning. Jon pulls out the ring, gets on one knee and hears the words every man wants to hear, "what the h-e-double hockey sticks!? Get up. This can't be real!". But of course, she said "YES!". It is a favorite story to tell and we're lucky that it happened at the happiest place on Earth!

Since getting engaged Alison has graduated college and started her big-girl job, we bought a house in Slinger, WI, adopted a fur baby named Elsa, and are trying to survive a pandemic! What a time it has been. We are so excited to celebrate the start of our marriage with some of the most important people in our lives!
