The best stories start with a trailer park... With that being said, Parker and I met in the Triple S Marina trailer park in Atlantic Beach. Our story is a little crazier than others, but that is what makes it interesting. In helping a friend who had too much to drink one night, we were stuck together, sitting in the hallway floor of my trailer. We sat on the floor and talked for hours, about anything and everything. I would never have thought that night, I would meet the love of my life. But just before he left my trailer he looked at me funny, gave a small smirk, and proceeded to tell me that one day he was going to marry me. I was shocked that this random boy had just said that to me, but 5 years later there he was, asking me to marry him.
I will say I knew it was coming. If you know Parker, it won't surprise you that he got too excited and some things slipped along the way. We were at the beach and my Dad told everybody we were going for a boat ride since it had just gotten some work done, and that Parkers mother Susan, and his step-dad, Mike, were joining us. Nothing to be suspicious of since they are friends! We rode over to Beaufort, I was sitting on the bridge with all the parents. I saw Davis and his girlfriend Courtney taking pictures on the back of the boat, Parker behind the camera, when I got asked the most out of the ordinary question. Parker asked me if we could take a picture, I knew something was up right then, that NEVER happens! Slightly nervous I walked down stairs and stood next to him. It was all going good until he went to put his arm around me for the picture and accidentally hit me in the side with the ring box out of nervousness. From there of course he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. There was plenty of crying and champagne to be passed around. But do not be upset if you missed the tears and champagne, you will get plenty of it on July 16th, 2022.
Earlier in our relationship, Parker and I were spending a weekend alone at the beach! It was a rainy Saturday so we were just relaxing around trailer watching Thirteen Going on Thirty. He was getting up to make himself some food, so I asked him to make me some mac-n-cheese but with milk and butter. I figured when I said that, he automatically knew what I meant.. I was very wrong. A few minutes later a commercial came on and I turned around to check on how the cooking was coming along... I WATCHED this boy pour milk into the boiling pot of water and noodles. I have never in my life seen something like that. I got up and went over to help him fix the very, very terrible mistake he had made. But till this day I will always remind him that the milk and butter goes IN with the cheese packet at the end. Bless his heart.
