Is there accommodation nearby?

Answer

Yes, Flaxton and the surrounding hinterland areas (Mapleton, Montville, and Maleny) offer a range of hotels, cottages, and Airbnbs. We recommend booking early as it’s a popular weekend destination. Our wedding venue has an onsite house that has 4 bedrooms and sleeps 8 guests; please reach out if you are interested in staying here the night of the wedding.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive at 2:30pm for a 3pm ceremony. Late arrivals may need to wait until after the processional.

Is there parking available at the venue?

Answer

There is plenty of parking onsite, in front of Flaxton Gardens on the nature strip, and surrounding suburban streets.

Can I book an Uber or rideshare?

Answer

Uber and other rideshare services are very limited in the area. We recommend pre-booking rideshares or taxi service, or plan alternative transport in advance.

Are children invited?

As much as we love your little ones, this is an adults-only celebration. We appreciate your understanding. Nursing mums, please chat to us as we're happy to accommodate.

What is the dress code?

Formal attire is requested. Men are encouraged to wear suits.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

Immediately following the ceremony, there will be photos and a cocktail hour for guests to enjoy drinks and canapés while we take our wedding photos. The reception will then continue at the same venue with dinner, drinks, and dancing until 10:30pm.

Will there be a wishing well or gift registry?

Answer

Yes, a wishing well will be available at the reception for guests who wish to contribute.
