Our story began in November 2020 in Mission Viejo, California, during the unusual times of COVID. We met through mutual friends at Hacienda on the Lake, a Mexican restaurant overlooking Mission Viejo Lake. What started as a casual dinner with friends quickly turned into something much more. From that night on, we found ourselves wanting to spend every moment together. Living in Southern California, we quickly bonded over the activities we both loved — spending our days at the beach, bike riding along the coast, surfing, and going on camping trips. Those early adventures together helped shape our relationship and created some of our favorite memories. In March 2022, we made the move to Boise, Idaho and planted our roots here. Boise quickly became home. While our scenery changed from the ocean to the mountains, we found new traditions we love just as much. Some of our favorite memories now are spending time along the river and taking long walks with our dog, Kona. In September 2024, Jon planned a moment we’ll never forget. While walking along the beach in Cancún, Mexico, he got down on one knee and asked Shelby to marry him. Of course, the answer was yes. Shortly after returning home, we celebrated another exciting milestone when we closed on our first home together in October 2024. We feel so grateful for the life we’ve built together and the friends and family who have been part of our journey. We can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter of our story with all of you on June 20, 2026.
