Save the week- Please come stay with us at the house. You just need to get to the house and feed yourself for the week.
Just let us know when you can make it! Please let us know when you will be arriving. If you cannot make it at all, please let us know ASAP so we can open a room up to someone else.
Parents will share their room with young children, so you may want to bring something for them to sleep on. There are two large bunk rooms, SVC peeps, yinz will have one, and the other room will be for all the single ladies (yes I expect a Beyonce dance number by the end of the week... LOL). Depending on how many people are actually able to attend, the rooms will be divided up. We are trying to give as many people their own rooms as we can, but it may be necessary to share rooms (but not beds unless you are a couple). We are also trying to accommodate as many people in the house as we can, so please try to be understanding if we ask you to be in a bunk room. Email Penny and Jon if you have specific questions about rooms. pbjinobx@gmail.com
Save the date- As much as we would love EVERYONE to stay at the house with us, there just aren't enough rooms for everyone we love. If you plan on attending the wedding, we suggest you book a room at the Hampton Inn & Suites next door. You must call 252 453 6565 and mention the Lambright/Ballinger wedding to receive the 10% discount. The Hampton does not reserve blocks of rooms, so it's first come first serve.
Clothes, your bathing suits, anything that you want to play with on the beach, clothes for the wedding. If you are staying at the house, ummmm, toilet paper. Seriously, 32 bathrooms is a lot, please bring a few rolls with you. There are grocery stores close to the Pine Island Lodge, and plenty of farmers markets, wineries, and breweries close by. We will provide some breakfast foods, but if you have any specific dietary needs, please make sure you stock up. We will be hosting Taco Tuesday, Pizza on Friday for the rehearsal dinner, and then of course food at the reception. Our officiant is also a golf pro at a one of the local greens, so if you play, bring your clubs!
Resort casual is what we're going for, so toss on a sundress or khaki shorts and you're perfect! Keep in mind it might be windy or chilly at night, so you might want to bring a sweater or wrap.
Yes if you are 21! The reception will include local beer and wines. Please keep in mind have to leave the house Sunday morning, so we are trying to keep the reception low-key on the alcohol front. There will be PLENTY of time during the week for all-night shenanigans... so Saturday night it might be "finish up your bottle" night but we HAVE to be out on time Sunday.
Well, it's about a 9 hour drive from the Pittsburgh area. Jon and I have driven it a few times, and I know that my family takes a trek down that way every few years. It's definitely a long haul, but it can be done. I've set up a FB page for the wedding, so if people want to share rides y'all can sort that out on your own.
