We are getting married

Our first 'date' was at a little 'Hallmark movie' Christmas bar in Nashville, TN- Jane's Hideaway Bar to be specific. In typical Jon fashion, he arrived an hour early and sat discussing brands of whisky with the bartender. A bit later, he received a text from Kenz that she had arrived. After a few minutes, we discovered the Uber had dropped Kenz off at the old location (it really was a hidden bar)... 6 miles down the road. Jon threw his wallet at the bartender and said, "Hold my Seat! I have to go pick up THE girl we've been waiting for!" We spent the night trying to talk over insanely loud Christmas music and choke down Kenz's panic order of spicy tofu. The next night, we found a quieter spot to play 'We are Not Really Strangers' (the game held up to its name) and we began to see where God had been weaving our stories together. From book titles we shared, to dreams we've had, we felt God's hand over us. Kenz came back home for the holidays, spending the month of December in Minnesota where many more date nights were shared. Jon decided he wanted to drive Kenz and Jax (Kenz' pup) back to Nashville at the start of the New Year. January 1, 2023, then, became our anniversary. This marked the start of many road trips together and many hours in conversations. Long distance became our new normal until God called Kenz back to the Twin Cities in June 2024. A house on Yellowstone Trail landed in our lap. On September 6, 2024, Jon fulfilled his age 11 prophecy of proposing on a mountain. Prospect Mountain in Estes Park, CO became our favorite mountaintop moment together. Spending a long weekend with some of our closest friends, we took a gondola ride up the mountain and hiked to the top where Jon popped the question. We are excited to take it the alter to begin a lifetime of love, laughter, and many more Christmas cocktail dates. We are excited and hope you are able to join us in the celebration!
