We’re getting married!

We met in 2018 in high-school through mutual friends during my junior year and his senior. Then later discovered our families had been in the same circle for years, and we were in the backround of each others lives growing up without our paths ever actually crossing. When it finally did - after months of anticipation - Jon finally made us an “us” on March 5th, 2019 when he asked me to be his girlfriend. What started as a high-school relationship quickly became something more and we realized life after school simply made more sense with each other in it, and couldn’t imagine not seeing where life would take us together. That sense of “us” came full circle on September 5th, 2024 with our proposal at the place of our first date - the heart rock hiking trail in Crestline California - a place we returned to again and again over the years. The moment was perfectly romantic until Jon dropped to one knee, landed on a rock, and proposed mid-grimace instead of mid-speech. It was undeniably a very “Jon and Kait” moment and we spent the rest of the hike laughing, which felt exactly right.
