The first Tribal National Park in the US, and the first place we went to after getting engaged! The hiking trail has many markers that help teach Ojibwe words for different flora and fauna, as well as histories on the area.

Access the tunnel by the 6th Ave West Beach or behind City Hall 601 Main Street West. One of many mosaic murals to spot around Ashland. At 11.5 miles, this asphalted pedestrian trail takes you along Lake Superior’s shoreline past historic structures, public art displays, fishing piers, public beaches, playgrounds, and other recreation amenities.
