POV Jon: There I was, visiting a new church because of the glowing recommendation from a friend. After the service I was introduced to some of the young adult community there where I met this beautiful girl with the absolute cutest smile (spoiler, it was Hunter :D). But of course, like all guys visiting a new church I was focused on the Lord (am I right men? ;). Over the course of the next 10 months, we got to know each other through various church activities/ministries, community events, game night hang-outs, and shenanigan-filled weekend trips. It took me getting called out for flirting over text (lol), but the amazing potential for a God-centered, incredibly fun, and joy-packed relationship started to emerge between two people already on their way to becoming best friends. Each and every moment of the relationship has been a wonderful journey full of growth, smiles, laughs, tears, healing, and lots of learning about God's goodness and faithfulness to His children. And we can't thank our families and friends enough for the support, wisdom, and love they have continually blessed us with. We are so excited to take the next step (leap?) on this journey with the Lord's guidance, and we can't wait to celebrate with the amazing people God has placed in our lives! POV Hunter: There I was, after service at Lighthouse Church minding my own business when I was introduced to a young man I had never seen before. Through introductions, I learned that his name was Jonathan. I chatted with him and his friends for a few minutes, noticing his piercing blue eyes, adorable smile, and outgoing personality in admiration. It took a few minutes into conversation to realize he was 5 years younger than me, in which case I thought to myself "Oh well", thinking there's no way it would ever work with that age gap! Over the months, this mysterious, gentle, handsome, friendly, funny, goofy, smart, godly man kept coming around the friend group more often. I started to notice these (and many more) qualities in him that I found hard to ignore. Over time, I started to see this sweet man as one of the most godly, lovely men who I thought the world of. It didn't take long after that for me to fall hard. Months of being friends to months of dating and we became best friends and before we knew it we both were independently deciding in our hearts that we found the person we wanted to marry (later finding out that we had each made this discovery on the same night). Through the blossoming of our relationship and how we were brought together, it has been so apparent the Lord's hand in it. The journey up to now and the journey to come has been one of the sweetest of our lives and we can't wait to celebrate that with you. Good and sweet gifts are from God, just as James says, and we are oh so grateful for that :) - With lots of Love, Jonathan & Hunter
