Jon proposed at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN on May 21st, 2019. He was working the Military Salute Night event at the Opry and brought me along as his date. He decided we should get our picture taken on the red carpet before the event began and I would never turn down a picture with him in his dress blues on the red carpet! Little did I know what was about to take place. After a fellow marine took our picture, Jon got down on one knee and pulled a ring out of his shoe! Yes, his shoe! He asked me, “Would you like to become Mrs. Pedersen?”. I very quickly replied, “YES!”. Everyone around us cheered and congratulated us. He pulled it off and I was in complete shock. It was one of the happiest nights of my life. I am more than ready to marry this wonderful man on 12/28! - Hope
