All of our guests are invited to come celebrate with us the night before the wedding! We recognize that many people are traveling in to celebrate us and we want to make the entire weekend a celebration. People who are more local are encouraged to come too, as you are all so important to us.
Grand Rapids has free street parking on the weekends (double check the zone signage you park in). There are also parking garages around the city, although those are not included in free city parking. If you are staying at a hotel, you can learn more about the hotel-specific parking options when you book. We recommend walking/ubering from your hotel and/or ubering from your residence as downtown parking can get fairly hectic on the weekends (and we don’t want you to worry about driving)!
Yes! The ceremony and reception will both be at The Rutledge. Please note, they do have to "flip" the room, so guests will be required to leave for an hour/hour and a half between the two events. Luckily, we will be in the heart of the city with plenty of things around to fill this time!
Although we love your children, we kindly ask that you only bring who is specified on your invitation.
The dress code is semi-formal/formal attire. Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. Both the ceremony and reception are indoors, so do not worry about the heat :)
Parking: Founders offers two parking lots, located at: 248 Williams St. SW and 334 Finney Ave SW. Please bring the ticket distributed on entry, as we will validate up to 10 hours of parking for those who use our lots. Each lot is approximately 1 block away from our Taproom Entrance, located at 235 Cesar E. Chavez Ave SW, Grand Rapids, MI 40503. Handicap parking is provided by the city and is in front of our Taproom entrance. Street parking is also bountiful, please follow posted signage. Entering: Please enter through our main Taproom Entrance, our handicap entrance is located to the right of the stairs. The Centennial Room is accessed via elevator, located within our Company Store. We’ll have staff posted at the elevator, as a keycard is required for entry. If no one is posted at the elevator and the event has started, please notify the clerks in our Company Store and a staff member will be down to assist.
