FAQs

To allow everyone to fully relax and enjoy all festivities, all events will be adults only.
Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

California is funny, and unpredictable. October in the Southern California mountains can bring beautiful low 70's temps, as well as snow or fires (October is part of fire season in our lovely state...and people say we don't have seasons, right?). Please check weather updates prior to traveling. If there are any emergencies, we will update everyone asap.

Question

How do I book a table for Oktoberfest? Are table reservations necessary?

Answer

Follow this link for information about all tables in the Oktoberfest tent. https://www.lakearrowheadoktoberfest.com/copy-of-info From what I understand, there may be limited grass seating if you do not want to book a table. There is also the option to stay on the move as you browse the food vendors and shops. We've never been to this event before, so we'll all be enjoying the first experience together!

Question

What's the transit situation like?

Answer

Uber and Lyft don't generally run on the mountain. You may get lucky and catch someone who has just dropped someone off from the greater San Bernardino area. Otherwise, there is a public shuttle service called Mountain Transit. They have an app you can download with pass options, or you can pay with exact change on the bus. The price is currently $1.25 per rider, but inflation is hitting everywhere, so that may change. Check out https://mountaintransit.org for more details. Affordable Cab Services is a ride share, similar to Uber and Lyft, but they can get pretty busy. So plan on giving them some time to arrive. They can be reached at 909-301-2259.

Question

Will there be cannabis dispensaries in the area?

Answer

Recreational cannabis is legal in California, and can be easily obtained for those 21+. The same laws that apply to consuming and transporting alcohol, apply to cannabis. You will need a valid ID to enter and browse through the selections. Most places take credit cards, but a few may be debit or cash only. You may want to have a dollar or two on hand to tip the budtenders, as well. You can visit WEEDMAPS.COM, or download the WEEDMAPS app, to find everything you're looking for including deals, brands and dispensaries (just enter your location like Yelp), as well as reviews of dispensaries and their product menus. Cannabis delivery is also available through EAZE. I have never used them outside of LA county, but you can check them out ahead of time at www.enjoyeazedelivery.com Again, a bit like food delivery services, you can browse dispensaries and their menus based on location. Make sure to search "recreational" if you do not have a CA medical card.
