This event is black tie only. For Men: A tuxedo is a classic men's choice for a black tie affair. Select a black tuxedo with a black bowtie; a black cummerbund or vest is optional. Wear a white button-down shirt that is pleated, which adds a touch of formality. Try patent leather shoes to complete the look. If you do not own a tuxedo, no problem. Try a dark suit, white dress shirt and conservative tie, such as a classic striped pattern. No sneakers, boots, or sandals. For Women: Floor-length gowns in dark colors, such as black, navy or brown, are suitable and elegant. Dressy cocktail dresses also fit the black tie dress code. A classic little black dress or a knee-length cocktail dress in silk or satin are event-worthy. Choose a cocktail dress with a touch of sparkle or embellishment to increase the level of formality. If you do not own a dress no problem, try dressy separates. Slip on a pencil skirt with a silk blouse or a dressy pant suit. No sneakers, boots, or flip-flops.
No children under the age of 13 will be permitted into our wedding. In order to allow all guests, including parents, an evening of relaxation we have chosen to not have young children attend. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to share our big day and will enjoy having the evening off!
We are asking that guests arrive at 6pm and quickly find seats. The wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 7pm with the bride proceeding down the aisle. The wedding reception is over at 12:30am. See the "schedule" tab for additional details.
Please arrive hungry. We have an overabundance of yummy food coming your way (especially during cocktail hour). You don't want to miss it!
Your presence is gift enough, however if you are feeling particularly generous check out our "Registry" tab. Feel free to contribute what you wish to our Honeymoon Fund. We are not registered at any retail stores.
Please hold off on taking personal photos during the wedding ceremony. We understand the excitement of getting that perfect shot for yourself, however we have hired professional photographers to get that perfect shot for us. In the spirit of cheerful cooperation, the photographers have precedence over the guests (during the ceremony and reception) in order to take the photographs required for our wedding needs.
