There once was a boy and a girl who lived in the same neighborhood growing up and were friends. As time went on, they grew up and went their seperate ways, but they stayed in touch via social media. Then, one day, after both of them had children who were grown, the girl, now a woman contacted the boy, now a man (let's be honest... he is still kind of a boy at heart) and asked if they could line their children up on a blind date. So, a girl named Courtney, and a boy named Jon, both terribly sick of dating, went on a blind date to appease their parents. So, Jon, dressed up in his button-up and sweater per demand of his mom (and it looked rather dashing), and headed from Ogden down to Provo to pick Courtney up. When Jon arrived, Courtney opened the door and her stomach was instantly filled with butterflies and was pleasantly surprised by an even more handsome boy than pictures had portrayed, standing in her doorway. Conversation came so easy to Courtney and Jon and by the time the date was winding down, Courtney could only think that she really hoped Jon would ask her out again, but Jon gave no tell as to whether he felt the same. So he dropped her off and left her wondering if he would ever ask her out again. To her pleasure, the following day, Jon texted her all day and then called her that evening. After four hours of talking on the phone, they realized it was probably time to go to bed, and the next day the repeated the whole process again, texting all day and a four to five hour phone call in the evening. After a little over a week of marathon phone calls, Jon made the trip back down to Provo for a second date, which ended in a goodnight kiss. Jon and Courtney quickly fell head-over-heels for each other, and their parents have [almost] everything to blame for the happy outcome. On July 4th (Courtney's Birthday) Jon proposed before the firework show in front of both of their families, and they will be married October 19th in the Provo City Center Temple.
