The closest airport to the hotel is Florence. From there, you can rent a car and drive 30 minutes to the venue. Alternatively, you can fly into Rome, take the train to Florence (~2.5 hrs) and drive from there. Other nearby airports and their drive times: - Pisa (~50 mins) - Bologna (~70 mins)
We’ve taken over the main hotel at Tenuta di Artimino for the wedding weekend (yes, it’s all ours!). Rooms will be assigned on a first RSVP, first served basis. We will confirm your room after receiving the RSVP. We totally get that life happens, but please wait to RSVP until you’re sure you can join the fun. There are also plenty of apartment-style rooms in the nearby town of Artimino (offered by the hotel) - just a 5-minute walk (or a very scenic stumble) from the hotel. There’s a pool for lounging, a restaurant onsite (and a few more in the town of Artimino), and breakfast is included each morning.
If you're planning a European getaway before or after the wedding, the following airports offer direct flights to Florence: Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) – 1h 50m Nice Côte d'Azur Airport (NCE) – 1h 20m Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport (BOD) – 2h 0m Munich Airport (MUC) – 1h 15m Athens International Airport (ATH) – 2h 10m Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) – 2h 10m Lisbon Airport (LIS) – 2h 45m Barcelona–El Prat Airport (BCN) – 1h 45m Madrid–Barajas Airport (MAD) – 2h 15m London (all airports) – 2h 10m
While we love your kids (most of them, in doses), we hope you'll enjoy this time to relax and celebrate with us. If you're traveling with the whole family, we recommend booking a larger room in Artimino to ensure everyone is comfortable. We're happy to assist with arranging childcare for the rehearsal dinner and wedding - just let us know.
Friday: Dinner Saturday: Breakfast and Dinner Sunday: Breakfast
Yes, you need a passport. Make sure it’s not expired and won't expire for at least 6 months after your flight home (they may not let you leave the country). As for Precheck and Global Entry: Precheck won’t help you much once you leave the U.S., but Global Entry may help you get through customs faster on the way home. Bellissimo.
Yep! Italy runs on 220V and uses Type C, F, and L plugs. There are hair dryers at the hotel and most American hair tools will not work, even with an adapter (and may even get fried if you try and plug them in).
Please email us at cramerbowmanwedding@gmail.com with additional questions.
We ask that if you know that you are definitely attending or not attending that you RSVP early to help us with planning.
