We can't wait to celebrate with you in the future, but for now...

Carly and Jon originally met through a mutual friend back in 2007, there are even pictures to prove it! Carly even admits to having a crush on Jon back then! They later reconnected in 2017 when Carly reached out to wish Jon a happy birthday, as they both did almost every year since they met. Something was different this time though. Fast forward through several months of dating long-distance and this Texas boy and New England gal finally made it official in January 2018!

Jon and Carly decided to go to Cape Cod to visit with Carly's parents during the summer, and planned to stay in a tent in the backyard to keep their distance before heading to Martha's Vineyard in the morning. Of course no one checked the weather for tent camping...but the humidity rolled in heavy, the rain started, then the thunder and lightning. Shortly after realizing Carly may or may not have forgotten the overnight bag (Whoops!), Jon went from both knees to one on the tent floor, and proposed while thunder rolled in the background. Carly immediately cried and said "YES"! In the morning, while in sticky clothes from the day before, they caught an early ferry and celebrated on the Vineyard over brunch and mimosas. <3

After multiple wedding date changes, and not wanting to wait to share our vows with each other, we have decided to have a small, intimate ceremony with immediate family in Winter Park, CO on Friday, June 25th, 2021. With all the restrictions and changes over the past several months, we did not want to ask people to attend a large event or travel for obvious reasons. For now, lets celebrate on Zoom!
