Jon Garrard met Caitlin Elizabeth Galloway after a summer orientation at Southern Methodist University, the theatre program they had both been accepted into, back in 2011. Jon was fully clothed and soaking wet as he was the loser who decided to jump in the pool to retrieve an object for a stereotypical orientation activity. "Hey! Are you Jon Garrard?" she asked. The conversation led to talks of Disney movies and general excitement of the semester to come. "What a cute sweet home school kinda gal" he thought to himself as you all reading this and know Caitlin burst out in laughter. They started out as good friends freshmen year, she even introduced him to Game of Thrones (really new at the time) and despite his better judgement he was crushing on her, hord. He had planned to ask her out, against a close friend of hers advice, and went to talk to her outside Meadows School of the Arts. Before the words "Hey I think I like you" could come out, Caitlin dashed into the school stating she was running late for "something". They never spoke of it again. It was after this when Caitlin was detailing the events to her friend that she said quote, "Jon Garrard is the last person on earth I would ever date." Fast forward through a couple of years where Caitlin and Jon both grew as artists and humans, sharing time together as friends and classmates, to the summer of 2015. After graduation Jon and Caitlin were both working at a Children's Theatre running summer camps all day every day. They became close friends, and Jon remembered back to freshmen year where he hard core crushed on her. Little did he know she was crushing on him too. After one particular hangout, Caitlin realized maybe she should rescind her decision to never date him, and give him a chance. The cause of the change in heart? CAITLIN: Hey, do you remember that episode in Arthur where Pal ate all the gummy worms? JON: (without a moments hesitation) You mean where he goes (does Pal's sick noise).
