Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by October 1 to give us adequate time to prepare for the big party! You can RSVP on this website under the "RSVP" heading.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 4 pm. Grab a welcome beverage at the front door and please find your seat by 3:45 pm to allow us to stay on schedule.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There will be shuttles provided to/from our venue from the Hilton Garden Inn Kent Island and Best Western Kent Narrows. The buses will pick up guests from the Hilton Garden Inn at 3 pm. The buses will pick up guests from the Best Western at 3:15 pm. There will be a shuttle running to/from the venue from the Inn at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club as well. If you are lodging outside one of these hotels and would like to use the shuttle service, please arrive at one of these locations for pick up. The shuttle service will drop guests off at the entrance to the ceremony space around 3:30-3:40 pm. At the end of the night, the shuttles will pick-up guests from the reception space at 9:30 pm and drop-off at the Hilton Garden Inn and the Best Western Kent Narrows. If you plan on attending the after party at The Jetty, then hop on the shuttle! Both hotels are within walking distance to The Jetty. If you are staying at the Inn at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club, there will be a shuttle to transport you back to the hotel at the conclusion of the reception. If you decide you would like to attend the after party at The Jetty, there will be a bus transporting guests back to the Inn at the conclusion of the after party. The bus will be available from The Jetty at any time between 10 pm-12:30 am. The final trip of the evening will pick up at the Jetty at 12:30 am. Please do not rely on Uber or Lyft for transportation during this season on the Eastern Shore.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is a parking lot located at the shared ceremony/reception space. As you drive through the marina, you will see signs for Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. Please follow the road around until you reach a parking lot. If you are planning to enjoy the open bar, we encourage you to use the shuttle service!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Please dress in formal wear. We suggest that men wear a suit of any color and women wear a floor length gown, cocktail dress, or jumpsuit. Bridesmaids will be wearing moss green and light blue. Please avoid wearing those colors and anything white!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Due to budget and space limitations, our wedding will be an adults-only event. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to use this as a date night!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to budget and space limitations, we simply can't afford for all of our lovely guests to bring a guest of their own. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. Thank you for understanding!

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

For your convenience, we have reserved room blocks with discounted rates at 3 separate hotels. Please select the "Travel" heading for information on reserving a room within one of our blocks. Please reserve your lodging sooner than later. If you have any issues with reserving within the room block or are informed that the room block is full, please contact us ASAP! Of course you are welcome to stay at a hotel/lodging outside of our blocks. Please know shuttles will be provided from all 3 hotels within our room block. Please know that the Chesapeake Bay Bridge run/walk will take place on November 10th and may cause hotels to book up faster than usual in November. Please book your lodging sooner than later.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please indicate any and all allergies and dietary restrictions when you RSVP for our event! The CBBC will be accommodating to all dietary restrictions.

Where are you registered?

Answer

We are registered on Zola and MyRegistry. MyRegistry groups items from various stores onto one site. Please see the "Registry" tab for more information. We are grateful for any contribution towards building our future together. While gifts are appreciated, please know your presence is enough!

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The short ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors. Given it will be fall, please prepare for cooler temperatures. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved indoors. The reception will take place indoors.
