-Abandoned fortress built in the 1500s
-Small pebble beaches and shallow waters
-Boats run every 30 minutes from Elounda to the island

-Countless beautiful beaches offering beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea
Santorini
-From Heraklion, there are several ferry companies offering a < 2 hour ferry to the beautiful island of Santorini (Thira)
