The wedding will be taking place at elevations of 5000-5500ft. While not considered to be very high altitude, the effects of elevation will be more noticeable for those traveling in from sea level due to dryer air, increased rate of respiration, and higher risk of dehydration (which also makes the effects of alcohol more potent). The best way to prepare for altitude is to drink plenty of water and electrolytes in the days before travel, while traveling, and during your stay. Please drink responsibly and alternate alcoholic drinks with water.
We kindly ask our wedding to be an adults-only celebration, with the exception of children of the immediate family to the bride and groom. We understand this can be challenging for families, and we truly appreciate the effort it takes to arrange childcare. We hope you can join us for a fun, relaxing evening to celebrate together!
The ceremony and reception will both be indoors and will take place at the same venue. We look forward to a comfortable and relaxing evening of celebrating! Colorado in September can be very hot during the day and fairly cool at night (generally).
Fortunately, our wedding is in the heart of downtown Louisville, Colorado. It is a small town with ample free parking throughout the town if needed. We are still sorting through transportation details from the Hotel, however and will update the site as soon as available.
We will not be planning on providing food at our Welcome Drinks event at Acreage. However, you are welcome to grab dinner there prior to the start of welcome drinks. To access the restaurants full menu, we recommend making a reservation for a table either indoor or outdoor. Definitely reserve early if you can as Acreage gets very busy during the summer months. If you are not able to make a reservation, but would still like to get dinner at Acreage, they have expansive outdoor seating on their lawn that can order food from a limited food truck menu (burger, chicken sandwich, fries). Other nearby places we recommend for dinner: Teocalli Cocina, Community Supper Club, Burns Pub, Murphy's Tap House, Hickory & Ash
Yes! We have contracted with a local transportation company called Brewhop Trolleys to provide shuttle service for the wedding. There will be 2x30-person shuttles to the venue from the Origin Hotel which depart at 3:45pm. There will be 1 shuttle returning from the venue to the Origin Hotel departing at 9pm (early departure), 10pm (when the venue closes), and 11pm (following the after party).
