Eastern Market
A wonderful open-air farmer's market in our neighborhood. Vendors sell produce, baked goods, hand made gifts, and vintage clothes from approximately 8AM-2PM on Saturdays and Sundays.
Cherry Blossoms
A classic Washington DC destination in early spring, and the location of our engagement! Best-accessed via public transportation to avoid the heavy traffic.
The Wharf Marina
Stop here for lunch before or after visiting the Cherry Blossoms. We recommend Rappahannock Oyster Bar for cocktails, oysters, and french fries, or Grazie Grazie for sandwiches.
Navy Yard Dining
Looking for food/drinks in Navy Yard? We love Dacha for German beers and bites, as well as The Salt Line for waterfront seafood, both located right across from National's Park. For a tasty fast casual option, you can't go wrong with Peruvian chicken at Chicken+Whiskey.
Smithsonian
Stop by one of the many incredible Smithsonian Museums throughout the city. Note that the Museum of African American History as well as the Air and Space Museum require (free) reserved passes.
