It begins in February 2023, when Jonah found time alone with Meredith's father, Doug, to ask for his daughters hand in marriage. He happily responds with a YES and tries to contain his excitement without spilling the beans! Fast forward four months, Meredith and Jonah hit the road for a weekend away at the family camp in Bridgton, Maine for the long Fourth of July weekend. Meredith's favorite place since childhood was about to become more special than she could've imagined. As Meredith joins Jonah and their dog George by the water, Jonah is setting up to take a "family photo". Smiling for the camera, Jonah gets down on one knee and asks Meredith to marry him. Overjoyed, Meredith was at a loss for all but one word, YES! They popped a bottle of champagne that Jonah sneakily hid in a nearby kayak and took his late grandmother's boat out for ride around the pond, reminiscing on all the moments leading up to the proposal. The celebrations continued into the weekend as Meredith's sister and brother-in-law secretly drove up from New York to surprise the newly engaged!
