Our Story

We met in our Sophomore year at Syracuse University. We were both on the student-led concert board, and Jonah had his eye on Marina for about a month before he decided to shoot his shot. He Facebook messaged (lol) her to come to his Psi U date night — and Marina said, "Why the hell not!?" We were immediately comfortable with each other; we laughed and chatted all night, and all year, and for the rest of college. After college, we landed in NYC and navigated a “long-distance” relationship — from Bushwick to Hell’s Kitchen. We grew inseparable while exploring the Big Apple, eating everything in sight, and finding comfort (in each other) & in the chaos. Since then, we’ve built a life full of friends, family, music & art, vintage finds, backyard hangs with our dog Prosciutto, and adventures big & small. In October of 2023, Jonah proposed at the Brooklyn Museum in front of a Monet painting—Marina practically yelled "YES I WILL!" and then burst into tears when she saw all our family and friends waiting nearby. It was thoughtful, beautiful, and full of love. We say This Takes Time to remind ourselves to be patient, stay present, and celebrate all the moments that got us here. We appreciate all the time we've been able to spend with each of you, and we cannot wait to spend more time together celebrating our love!
