Amanda VerHulst

Maid of Honor

Amanda and I have known each other since we were four and five years old! We grew up in the same neighborhood and played tennis together along with making countless other memories! Amanda is one of the most supportive, encouraging, joy-filled, kind, and selfless people I have ever met! Our favorite memories together are getting coffee, going on hikes or walks, chatting for hours, praying for one another, and spending time at each other's houses and with each other's families. I am so grateful for the friendship I have in Amanda and for the history we have of knowing each other. I am honored to have her stand by Jonah and me on our big day!

Trent Bishop

Best Man

I met Trent during my sophomore year of high school through drumline. He was the new kid on the block from CA and we instantly clicked with our similar tastes in music, humor, and our faith. I'll never forget the summer jam sessions at Trent's place or the long competition-day bus rides together. We stayed in touch almost everyday after he moved back to CA. We shared three years together at Liberty, spending late nights at the gym and Panda Express. Trent's one of the most loyal and driven people I know - He's the Best, Man.

Corrie Barnett

Bridesmaid

Corrie was my housemate for a year while we both were graduate students at Liberty University. I met Corrie a few months before we became housemates, and we quickly became friends. We enjoyed playing pickleball, broomball, and attending book club with our group of friends. My favorite memories with Corrie were chats in our house with our other roommate Aly. Corrie is one of the most disciplined, competitive, funny, generous, and authentic people I know. I am blessed to call her my bridesmaid and have her be a part of our wedding!

Ezra Saumenig

Groomsman

My cousin Ezra has always felt like more of a brother to me. We were best friends before I made it into school and realized there were other kids I was supposed to be making friends with. I have countless memories through every season of life with this guy, from sleepovers as kids playing PS2 games to intense rounds of disc golf today. It's always been a blast figuring out life with this guy. It's been such a blessing going from action figure battles in the backyard to meeting his first child, Saylor Saumenig. I'm so excited to see how God uses our friendship in the future and to have this man by my side on Lindsey and my wedding day.

Helan Sam

Bridesmaid

Helan and I met through our graduate assistantships in the Social Work Department at Liberty University. Helan and I quickly became friends as we worked together every day and spend time together outside of work as well. Helan is an incredible cook, very kind and welcoming, and intentional. She loves the Lord, and it is evident through how she lives her life. I am honored to call Helan a friend and one of my bridesmaids!

Josey Soward

Groomsman

Josey was always the dependable and responsible big brother of the cousin trio. Being the oldest and tallest, he always led the way and gave the most sound advice (after making all the mistakes first of course). I always knew Josey could answer any tough question I had and would always take care of me and the rest of the guys. I've made countless memories with him and have been blessed to know him through every season of life. I'm excited to see how our marriages impact our relationship and to have him stand by my side on Lindsey and my big day.

Anna Aldridge

Bridesmaid

Anna was one of the first friends I made when I came to Liberty University. We met playing club tennis and really started to get to know each other better through club tennis tournaments. We initially bonded over our similar tastes in foods, which led to shared meals at restaurants. Anna is one of the most loyal, intentional, and reliable friends I have! We enjoy playing tennis, pickleball, going to book club, working out, getting boba and more! I am honored to have Anna as a bridesmaid and be a part of Jonah and my special day!

Joseph Peters

Groomsman

I met Peters just before COVID hit and got to know him through our mutual friends and interests. He’s one of the wildest guys I know and being around him is some of the most fun I’ve had (it’s mostly adrenaline and fear of death). His natural talent often outweighs his decision-making and he’s got some of the craziest stories to tell. He’s one of the most honest, respectable, and Godly men I know and I’m honored to call him my groomsman.

Alyssa Bates

Bridesmaid

I met Alyssa when we lived in a house together as undergraduate at Spring Arbor University. Our friendship grew as I slowly learned how kind, welcoming, caring, funny, intentional, and thoughtful she was. I remember being upset about not getting an internship in undergrad and Alyssa offered to take me to get coffee and chat about it. Alyssa is an amazing cook, a great person, and so easy to be around! I am honored to have Alyssa be a part of Jonah and my big day!

Joseph Carroll

Groomsman

I remember first meeting Joseph in middle school and immediately clicking with our ridiculous senses of humor. It wasn’t until he joined high school drumline that we really got to know each other better but he’s been a rock solid friend for several years now. He’s one of the most laid back, funny guys I know, and he’s always been so easy to be around. We’ve bonded through our common interests in music, aviation, fishing and our near death experience on an ATV! I'm honored to have this guy with me for this occasion.

Eden Ripley

Bridesmaid

Eden is Jonah's sister, and I met her the first time I went snow tubing at Wintergreen with Jonah's family. From spending time with Eden, I can tell that she is very creative, kind-hearted, fun, compassionate, and sociable. I enjoy driving by her work and getting ice cream, shopping with her, and hearing updates on her life. I am excited to be gaining Eden as a sister-in-law! Jonah and I are honored to have her in our wedding!

Bradford Baker

Groomsman

I met Brad in high school through drumline, and we became really close during COVID. Brad's always felt like a brother to me and his family has felt like my second home. We bonded through gaming and constant tomfoolery. I’ll never forget all of the memories made at his place, the cabin, or in the back of the Yukon going 80mph with the headlights off. I’m so grateful for Brad and his family and am honored to have him as my groomsman.

Rachel Kuczaj

Bridesmaid

Rachel is my brother Josh's fiancé and I met her the first time she came over to our Sandy Pines cottage. From our times together, I have observed that Rachel is very intentional with her relationships, she cares a lot about others, she loves to laugh and have fun, and she loves the Lord! Rachel is also very smart and disciplined! I am so excited to be gaining a sister-in-law in Rachel! I am blessed to have Rachel as a bridesmaid for our wedding!

Joshua Scott

Groomsman

Josh is Lindsey’s brother, and I initially met him during my first visit to MI in the summer of 2023. I was blown away by how kindly Josh welcomed me into their home and the intentional interest he took in building a friendship with me. Josh is one of the best living examples of Christlike love and leadership, and I’m so excited to be gaining him as a brother-in-law. I’m honored to have this guy as a part of Lindsey and my wedding!

Tyler Scott

Groomsman

Tyler is Lindsey’s oldest brother, and I had the pleasure of meeting him in MI over New Year’s. Tyler is one of the most fun, energetic, and unapologetically himself people I’ve met, and he brings light into any room he enters. I’m looking forward to spending more time with this guy, and I’m so excited to gain him as a brother-in-law. I feel so blessed to call him my groomsman.
