We actually both first connected on an online dating site, Jon kept looking at Emily's profile until finally she asked if he was going to talk to her or keep looking at her pictures, haha! Then Jon asked if she'd like to meet him at a church he had been going to. Emily happily accepted, and they met there that next Sunday. We were both shy but came to find out so many interesting similarities we shared. I think we both realized in this moment that we wanted to see more of each other.

It was towards the end of the week and Emily asked Jon what he wanted to do that weekend. He said that we should do something fun and later suggested we go to Patapsco State park, (Which might I add, Emily had been wanting to go to since they met!) so you could say she was pretty excited. It had been a long day, we both were super busy but made time to go down to this park. We got there and started walking around, having not been there before, we weren't quite sure where to go. We soon found a trail and started out down this huge hill! When we reached the bottom it open up into this beautiful area with a river that people were fishing and swimming and having fun in with a bridge off to the left. It looked like we could get closer to the bridge so we started to get closer to take some pictures. Jon asked Emily to turn around so he could take some pictures of me, then when she turned around he was on his knee!
