As Emilio sat at the park patiently waiting for Jollene to finish up her final farmers market transactions, he glanced at the man sitting besides him. His name was Mr.Mancus and he often went to this particular park in seek of inspiration for his poetry. Soon after discovering that Mr.Mancus was a poet, Emilio asked for him to write a poem about his girlfriend, Jollene. Here is what he wrote. “There are ghosts to point through your name, And song lyrics, too, stained with a drawl, But what the Atlantic corridor contains can help spring you through these wind-filled months and also through the breaks and bends in your lineage— the same hello you share with every pup you see will carry well into whatever work you’ve chosen. So choose it well and know how Emilio’s eyes spark and glow whenever he mentions your name. Poem for Jollene” By Tony Mancus
