Our friends often ask how we met, and the truth is we met the good old fashioned boring way - we were introduced by a professional matchmaker over coffee (and bagels). We both speak questionable Chinese, so the matchmaker must have matched us to avoid embarrassing themselves to their other clients in HK. On our first date we met at Wanchai MTR exit A3 for dinner at a place called ‘Sabah’, and almost 6 years later we got engaged right after visiting the real place called ‘Sabah’ for the first time together. A bit about ourselves: Joseph is a Gemini while Celine is a Libra, which according to many reliable websites has a 93% compatibility rating. Our Chinese zodiacs also have perfect compatibility (Dragon and Monkey)! This has been the secret to our great relationship and also proof we have no idea what we are talking about. You may be wondering why there is a video of Celine with some fish above this page, and it’s because we think in a way it reflects our journey so far. When we first started dating Celine was scared of swimming in the ocean and of sharks, now she can’t wait to wake up at 4am in the morning to jump into the ocean with sharks! Over the past 5 years we both have changed and grown in unexpected ways, but no matter what we always find ourselves laughing with each other ready for the next challenge.
