Question

I'm driving to the wedding—where should I park?

Answer

There are a number of parking garages in the immediate area of the Bowery Hotel. We highly recommend downloading the phone app "Spot Hero" for parking deals. All you need to do is enter the address of the hotel (335 Bowery or the address of the hotel you are staying at) and the dates/hours during which you'll need parking. The app will show you all of the options in the surrounding area and their prices. You can book and pay for your spot directly on your phone. Using this app is guaranteed to get you a better rate than if you drive in to a nearby garage. We highly recommend using Spot Hero to book your spot at a garage in advance of the wedding, so you don't risk the nearby lots being sold out (the app will allow you to make advanced reservations). We also suggest booking for 4:30pm to 12:30am if you are driving in for the wedding only. You are guaranteed to get a much better deal than if you were to pull into the nearest lot without it!

Question

Do you have hotel room blocks?

Answer

Yes! See the "travel" tab for more information and booking instructions. We have four room blocks available: The Standard East Village (3-minute walk from the venue); The Ludlow Hotel (9-minute walk from the venue); The Hotel Indigo Lower East Side (10-minute walk from the venue); and the Hilton Garden Inn Tribeca ( 22-minute walk or a 9-minute Uber/Lyft/taxi). The Standard and the Ludlow only offer single-queen rooms. The Indigo offers double-queen rooms, and the Hilton offers both single-king and double-queen rooms. We kindly ask that you keep parties of 3 or more in mind when choosing where to book!

Question

Can I stay on-site at the Bowery Hotel?

Answer

Yes! Unfortunately, the Bowery Hotel (our wedding venue!) does not offer room blocks, but you are welcome to book independently to stay on-site. We encourage you to book as early as possible if you'd like to stay at the Bowery.

Question

What is the attire for the wedding weekend events?

Answer

The welcome party and Sunday breakfast are both casual events, and the big day is formal attire!

Question

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions/food allergies?

Answer

Our wedding venue/caterer can accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies—please list any needs you have on your RSVP card. We will let you know on a case by case basis if the Smith and Tortaria can or cannot accommodate your restrictions.

Question

What is the accessibility like for all of the wedding event venues?

Answer

All of our venues are accessible! Our welcome party at the Smith is down one flight of stairs, and there is an elevator available upon request. Our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are all in the same venue on the second floor of the Bowery Hotel. The main entrance to the wedding venue is directly next door to the hotel lobby, up one flight of stairs. You can also enter through the hotel lobby to take the elevator to the second floor. The Sunday breakfast at Tortaria is on the ground floor with an accessible entrance.

Question

How do I get to the venue from the train or airport?

Answer

If you're traveling in via train or flight, first of all, thank you so much for making the journey to celebrate with us! If you need directions from the airport or train station, please reach out to us directly, as there are many options (depending on your preferences for speed, cost, and accessibility) for getting to the East Village from JFK, LaGuardia, Newark, Penn Station, and Grand Central. We're happy to help you land on the best option for you.
