We have set aside a block of rooms at the Crown Plaza, which is in the Adelaide CBD and very near the Botanical Gardens and other sites. The link to the block is in the "view" link. We reserved premium king rooms but other room types are available on the direct hotel website. (traveler note: The prices for the block are in AUD so $280 = ~$175 USD.) The room block is scheduled for 10/22-10/25 but the rate is good for both 3 days before and after.

Reminder - passports must expire 6 months later than your return trip date. Australia also requires a visitor's visa - very simple and quick to get - use the web link or Apple app to download the ETA app and complete the application. Visa is typically good for one year after approval (which is typically quite quick)

American (or Qantas code share) has direct and indirect flights to Sydney and Melbourne, but other airlines - United, Fiji (an AA One World member), Air NZ, JAL and Emirates get here efficiently as well with widely varying prices and total transit times (and locations). Note - traveling within Australia from other cities to Adelaide is quick (~ 2 hours), simple and quite inexpensive

While the wedding is Friday, for out-of-town guests we'd suggest considering a Wednesday arrival as we'd love to welcome you with a scheduled morning sightseeing event and welcome dinner on Thursday. Departure Saturday or Sunday.

Getting aroundGetting around

Shuttles to and from the welcome events, church and reception will be available so rental car is optional in Adelaide. If you prefer one, they can be rented at the airport or at CBD locations convenient to the hotel for day trips. The hotel does have a garage. Reminder: Australia drives on the other side of the road and has many fun roundabouts to navigate!
