Jolie and Hannah met in 2019 through work in Austin, Texas. At the consequence of everyone else, they have been inseparable ever since. Their friendship has seen its way through deadly snowstorms, stray tasers, and (quite possibly the scariest obstacle) living together. If laughing more helps you live longer, this friendship has secured immortality for them both. Best friends, sisters, platonic soul mates... call it what you want- just don't leave them unsupervised for too long.

A friendship 23 years in the making, Jolie met Taydra in Kindergarten through a mutual friend- don't let anyone tell you you're too young to start networking. When asked about this moment today, Taydra will tell you that while at first she found Jolie's unbrushed hair and skinned knees alarming, she eventually settled on endearing. Thank goodness she did). Living just a block away from each other in their childhood, they spent countless hours riding bikes, star gazing, and getting into trouble with their sisters at sleepovers. As the years went on they stayed close, and in a wonderful twist of fate the two ended up being randomly roomed just doors down from each other in the dorms of CU Boulder. They get closer every year.

Alyson and Jolie met as metal mouthed middle schoolers (say that five times fast) around 2010. It wasn't until high school that they became closer, a friendship solidified by her close proximity in the dorms. Eventually they lived together , spending their time crafting, prowling the boulder bookstore and thrifting (amongst other scavenging hobbies). Whether its terrorizing the neighbors or silently looking for shells on the beach, every memory shared with her is a warm one.

Proof of Leslie's lovely spirit can be found in the fact that she was Jolie's boss when they met- and in the years thereafter. For some, being locked inside with only your boss during a global pandemic is pure nightmare fuel. For Jolie it was some of the most fun she'd ever had. Leslie brings big sister energy to the group in that she's the life of the party while making sure nobody steps too far out of line. And that a good chunk of Jolie's closet is an excitedly anticipated hand-me-down from her. She was Jolie's first real friend when she moved to Austin, and makes every memory with her a special one.

Officiant - Best Man

Alex met James and Jolie in their neighboring dorm rooms at CU Boulder. When considering who to ask to officiate the ceremony, we knew we wanted someone who has been close to us while our relationship grew, and who knew us both well individually. Alex was the perfect choice. That and we needed to find a way to exploit his talents as Dungeon Master, exposed during our group's campaign in Dungeons and Dragons, for our own gain. As a reward, "Tooly" has ascended the labels of neither simply Best Man nor officiant, as he's both. Best Officiant? Officiant Man? Its up for pointless debate. A favorite pastime between us three (do not ask if breeze is wind around us unless you have half an hour and some spare braincells to kill).
