Party Ambassadors

Brittani Luyen

Bridesmaid

Brittani and Joli met in their fifth grade class at La Veta Elementary. They share a love of snail mail and always send each other cute postcards from their travels to national parks and countries around the world. Joli has over 2 dozen in her collection from Brittani's adventures!

Cathy Duong

Bridesmaid

Cathy and Joli met during Joli's freshman year at UCLA when they were serendipitously assigned to the same dorm room. They share a love of karaoke and are always down to belt out some Disney tunes...now let's get down to business!

Kellie Nguyen

Maid of Honor

Kellie and Joli met in fourth grade daycare and have been besties ever since. Not even the UCLA vs. USC rivalry could tear them apart! They share a love of fantasy books and take an annual bookation to binge read the latest exciting (and sometimes spicy) release together.

Vivian Cao

Bridesmaid

Vivian and Joli are cousins, but grew up together basically as sisters. They share a love of crafts and granny decor, and always keep each other updated on the newest seasonal Target bird collection (iykyk).

Brett Campbell

Groomsman

Brett and Chris met in Clarke Hall at Ithaca College their freshman year. Living on the same floor, they bonded over playing NHL 2012 on Xbox 360. From Clarke Hall to Circle 190-05, they navigated college life side by side, sharing laughs, challenges, and countless memories that laid the foundation for a lifelong friendship. Always down for an adventure, Brett drove 3,996.4 miles with Chris from NY to LA in 2015 and visited Chris while he was working in Thailand in 2019.

Corey Weller

Groomsman

One of the "Foursome", Chris' best friends from Watertown, Cor is always the first to laugh and is usually down for anything, no questions asked. One night, Chris, Dave, and Cor were driving around deliberating what to eat. They constructed a bracket of all the local food spots and narrowed it down to two finalists: Olive Garden and Chinese Buffet. Dave and Chris really wanted the buffet, but Cor was decidedly anti-buffet. So they flipped a coin and let the gods decide what would sate them that night. The coin landed on Chinese Buffet. Defeated, Cor only ate a few pieces of chicken and a fortune cookie. The fortune read: "Fear and Desire: Two Sides of the Same Coin."

Dave Valentine

Groomsman

One of the “Foursome,” Dave was Chris' partner-in-crime all throughout school. They all spent countless hours at Dave’s house, where Chris' mom assumed they were sneaking beers. In reality, they were downing way too much Mountain Dew and playing NHL and/or Zombies. Dave was always the wild schemer of the group. From getting thrown out of frat houses in Syracuse to renting a cabin by the river for the ultimate party, Dave’s knack for turning the ordinary into something special was unmatched.

Henri Floris

Groomsman

Henri and Chris met at Bunim-Murray Productions (BMP) where they both became integral parts of a dream team of Assistant Editors, the best the company had ever seen. Challenge groups with 99 audio tracks hate to see them coming. As the company changed and evolved, they've continued to work—and play—together. From epic ping-pong tournaments to their current pickleball era, they are a force to be reckoned with, whenever and wherever they team up.

JB (John Barley)

Groomsman

Chris and JB met at BMP where JB had an office just behind Chris' station. However, it wasn't until they both attended a mutual friend's house party did they really start to hit it off and become friends. And it was on the Tomas Gutierrez Memorial Ping Pong Table in the Bridget Case Stadium where their deep bond was forged. They didn't know it at the time, but the days they spent playing ping-pong together at the office was the golden-age of BMP. It was an honor to have been there and a blessing to have shared it together.

Kent Derbyshire

Groomsman

One of the "Foursome", Kent was always making short videos with Chris for any class that would let them (picture above from Spanish class video: El Medio Ambiente). This earned them the "Best Friends" title for their senior year superlatives. Both avid sailors, they also competed together in the Junior Olympics, securing 3rd place in their very first race. However, their momentum was cut short when Kent took a brutal hit to the head from the boom. With his skull patched up with duct tape and determination, they pressed on, ultimately finishing near the bottom. It wasn't their best performance, but it is still their most memorable.

Peter Krake

Best Man

Chris’ younger—but taller—brother with the cooler job, Pete is the mastermind behind their countless creative ventures. Because of their shared passion for food, cooking, film, and all things hands-on, Pete is always pulling Chris into his latest ambitious project—whether it’s crafting a wooden light-up box or editing a short movie. One of their most memorable experiences together was the time Pete treated Chris to a Michelin-star tour of San Francisco, turning great meals into an unforgettable adventure.

Alex Tran

Officiant

Alex is the baby cousin who had to endure the brunt of Joli's childhood I-know-best attitude and no-boys-allowed sentiments. However, he turned out pretty alright and might just be one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He teaches Chris and Joli the kool kids' lingo and introduces them to the trendiest and most delicious restaurants. So naturally, he's the perfect person to officiate this thing.
