We owe the beginning of our love story to our friends in San Francisco. Josh moved to SF a few months before Olga officially moved to the city. As they were both getting acquainted to the city and meeting a lot of new people, their mutual friend (& officiant!) Karli invited them to a few group gatherings. The story famously goes that Olga did not remember meeting Josh the first time they met. A few months later at a house party, Josh played it off cooly, lying and saying "No" when Olga asked, "Have we met before?" It took a few more house parties and courting efforts on Josh's part, but a few months after that second meeting, Josh and Olga officially started dating. It was during this early time in their relationship that Olga started putting two and two together and realized that she happened to be at a birthday party of one of Josh's good friends months before she met him (or when she remembers first meeting him). On their way to a gathering, she stopped them in their tracks and asked - "Wait a second, were you at X's birthday party?" And that's when the jig was up that Josh did remember Olga from that first party and found her to be super cool and pretty and wanted to get to know her better from that first day, but didn't want to seem like a try hard.
