So have fun, take a look around and don’t forget to RSVP! Finally – thank you for your ongoing love and support. We are so excited to share this day with you and look forward to dancing the night away with all of our favorite people!
For those of you that know us well, it may come as no surprise that the first place we met was at Frenchman's in Richfield. Mike asked Jolene to play pull-tabs and she accepted, but she also continued to talk to the bartender for a few minutes. By the time she turned around to sit with Mike, he had left. Like...he actually left for the night and didn't come back. A month or so later, Jolene went out of town with her BFFs Kelsey and Peter for one of Peter's softball tournaments in Duluth. As the team gathered at the field Saturday morning, Jolene was quite shocked to see that Mike was playing on the same team as Peter! Mike and Jolene said hi to each other and joked around a little throughout the day, then both went out with the team that night. Depending on who you ask, we each say the other person initiated our walk down to the pier, but either way, we ended up going for a little midnight stroll...drinks still in our hands. On the way back to meet with the team again, the police stopped us. I mean, who gets pulled over while walking?! They asked us some questions, asked for our IDs and all that. In case you were wondering, it's apparently illegal to drink down by the pier at Canal Park. Oops. After running our names through the system they let us go. The night ended with Jolene being locked out of her hotel room, but that's a story for another day. To wrap up a long story, Mike got Jolene's number at the end of the weekend, told her to "take care of that guy" that she had been casually dating, and he came to her house for chicken Parmesan that week. Oh...and he never left.
