Meet our family and friends that are walking down the aisle with us.

Leilani

Maid of Honor

What can I say about my matron opps I mean maid of honor. Leilani is my best fwrend yes I said it. There’s no typo. We have been together since 2010 and have been inseparable. Til this day we can’t remember when our relationship changed from rushing the same sorority to being roommates for the better part of our friendship whether it be official or unofficially as she would crash on my couch all those years ago. We both can recall a special memory many moons ago. We decided to hangout one day but that slowly turned into seeing each other everyday that whole week. We knew then that we’d always be in each others lives. We’ve grown so much together from being the quiet newbie sorority girls to sassy competitive maniacs that our friends do not want to play games with anymore.

Marshall

Best Man

Marshall and I share a very niche sense of humor the majority of people would consider childish or far too dark to even be considered humor. We came to realize this our sophomore year when we spent a good amount of time re-watching scenes from “Scrubs” and “Entourage”, and laughing far too hard at them. Along with our affinity for off brand humor, Marshall and I have grown close over the years playing video games starting with our NBA 2K fantasy teams which were profoundly unevenly matched. After college we continued to play video games online for countless hours whilst complaining about WCC officiating practices and the Seahawks questionable play calling and front office decision making.

Yasmeen

Bridesmaid

What can I say about this amazing, annoying, possessive little sister. Fun fact bride says don’t call her by her name because I strictly know her as Hamen! She’s the brides only sister and doesn’t let her forget it. When joining the sorority I started posting pictures and my sister made it a point to comment each time with… these are your fake “sisters”! My sister and I are complete opposites that are perfect for each other like yin yang. We’ve had our fare share of fights but we’ve also had so many moments of looking out for one another. Even though we don’t live close we look forward to clowning on each other and sending each other pet videos all the time. To others you may be this amazing strong woman with a heart of gold but to me you’ll always be my annoying little sister. I love you

Peter

Groomsman

Though I can count on one hand the amount times Peter and I have actually interacted in person, I talk to him nearly every day. He and I share many of the same interests as Marshall, so it helps that the three of us can all laugh at the same stupid jokes. Peter also feeds into our collective rage regarding anything sports related. This is especially true if a team from Seattle has made, what we deem to be, an inexcusably stupid decision, or has been slighted in any way.

Kathy

Bridesmaid

Kathy AKA "Bubbles" is more than a cousin. She is like my other younger sister. Kathy, Yasmeen, and I grew up together even though we lived 438 miles apart. Our parents knew us as the Power Puff Girls. Kathy is a little shy once you meet her but don't let her fool you she is an undercover extravert. I've had so many crazy adventures with her and we are always laughing at the most random stuff. For example a lemon in Mexico! Kathy is someone I can talk to no matter what and she is one of the first ones I told when I started having feelings for John. One of my favorite memory was calling her over the phone and hearing her frustration because John had not asked me out yet. She is one of my biggest cheerleaders and I am lucky to have her in my life.

Guillermo

Groomsman

As the husband of Jocelyn’s best friend, Guillermo had the pleasure hearing all about the guy at work who probably maybe definitely liked her. He and I have grown close over the past two years sharing our interests of whiskey, video games, and snowboarding. Guillermo has also shared with me the secrets he has learned over the years for surviving as the only guy in a group of Jocelyn and all her girlfriends.

Sarah

Bridesmaid

Jocy: One of my favorite memories of Sarah was when John called her to break the news that we got engaged. I remember hearing her over the phone yelling at John, "you got me a sister!" I was also excited that I could now officially call Sarah my sister. I loved our time together at Fire Island and loved exploring New York with you. Another favorite memory I had was when the boys left us and we both had time to gossip about John lol. Excited to have you as "older" my sister. John: Sarah and I always seem to get along the best when we are in the same stage of life. From high school to college, to complaining about our professional careers, it is the most fun when we can share the same types of experiences, even if to this day I still cannot conceptualize what actually she does for work. I am just jealous she gets to do it from home. Even though we are in the same stage of life, Sarah and I are really quite different. She has always been far more extroverted and outgoing than me, and to this day I still try to emulate her confidence in social situations, especially new (scary) ones. I always know I can go to her for advice from simple things like shoe choices, to more important issues, like the best way to approach a job interview. I am so excited that she is going to be a bridesmaid, it will make the day that much more special/ exciting. We will just have to keep her at the opposite end of all the pictures so people cannot tell she is taller than me when she is wearing heels.

Mike

Groomsman

Mike and I became close friends our freshman year by doing all of the things you would expect college students to do when they first leave home. I of course mean; laser tag, go-karts, campus disc golf, and riding a razor scooter around the dorm at 2AM. During the next three years Mike and I regularly challenged each other to games of NBA 2K. These games often ended in one of two way;, long streaks of profanity laced tirades when players on his team defied the laws of physics to make ridiculous plays, and overly jubilant screaming to a highlight reel play worthy of the Sports Center Top 10.

Iris

Bridesmaid

Iris is my little hummingbird that is always on the go chasing her dreams. However, the shocking truth is that our relationship started because little shy me decided to approach her and start a conversation since we were waiting to go to a sorority rush event. We ended up in the same car that got lost 3 times! When we finally made it to the bonfire we hung out for the rest of the night talking about Vampire Diaries, William Levy, Fernando Colunga, Sailor Moon, and much more. Since our Freshman year we have been doing everything together. One of my favorite early memories was going over to my dorm and eating chorizo burritos after chemistry class. Lucky to have her since she has always been there for me...well except when she didn't save me any pozole her mom made me for my 21st birthday.

Evan

Groomsman

Evan was my first roommate in college and my biggest fear about meeting him was that he would be much taller than me. What I should have been concerned about was my inability to do homework past 9PM because of our regular movie nights. Evan is the first person to introduce me to the Harry Potter movies, which we watched at least once a week, and other fan favorites such as the Goonies and the Twilight Trilogy. I can always count on Evan to help push me outside of my comfort zone and cause everyone to laugh uncontrollably at something ridiculous he has said.

Beatriz

Bridesmaid

Beatriz is such a gentle loving soul. We love to mess around with her and say that she is a master manipulator that intercepts our minds. However, the truth is she is one of the most loving friend's I have. Beatriz has such a calming presence and I can always count on her to have my back. I know she would drop everything to help me or those she loves. She values friendships and has warned John she will go after him if he ever hurt me lol Many believe Beatriz is a shy girl, however, that's far from the truth. Beatriz chooses to let others share their thoughts before she provides valuable feedback. Aside from Beatriz being an amazing best friend she is also an amazing hype woman. Beatriz will always push others to have fun, live their best lives, and makes sure that we all pursue our dreams.

Christian

Groomsman

Christian is the only person I have ever met who can match my level of sarcasm to the point where you cannot tell if he is completely serious or completely full of it. He and I became friends by our ability to communicate entirely through quoting stand-up comedy routines and movie lines. We spent a lot of our time in college in the blue comfy chairs listening to music or on the couches in our living room binging “Psych” at lunch time, watching terrible Netflix movies until 2AM, and streaming the A-Team movie for the 25th time in a row.

Loyman

Bridesmaid

Loyman may say she is not a people person but let me tell you she is a loyal and caring best friend. We have grown closer over the years and our many get togethers. We have even started to make watching the SuperBowl an annual tradition despite what John may say lol Loyman and I have had many adventures the past couple of years. Some of my favorite memories have been rafting in Sacramento while she was pregnant. Cheers! Loyman is an amazing mother and I'm thankful we get to see Julian grow up. It is difficult to keep a secret from Loyman because she is so perceptive, however, she can definitely keep secrets. For my 28th birthday I was surprised to see her and her family make it all the way to Salinas. It was such a welcomed surprise. I look forward to all the future adventures yet to come.

Kyle

Groomsman

Kyle was one of the first people I met at Gonzaga my freshman year. We hungout a lot the first few weeks of school, and then didn’t at all, until our sophomore year. We ended up living in the same hallway and he and Dylan were a few doors down from Marshall and me. Their room became the designated spot for all of our friends to watch TV throughout the year. Now that we both live in the Bay Area, he and I plan as many snowboarding trips to Tahoe as possible, and still need to find a way to go heli-skiing before we are both old and frail.

Jenn

Bridesmaid

Mamma Jenn! I have known DJ since my Freshman year of college. We joined the sorority together and the rest is history. We have so much in common, which is why we grew so close in such a short amount of time. We love the same type of alternative rock and had so many art and crafts sessions. Jenn has always had a nurturing personality and is someone we can always count on to have an answer to our problems. One of my favorite early memories together was when we'd spend the night together at Eva's and then you'd come to the dining commons with me for breakfast the next day. I also love our Karaoke sessions, especially when we rock out to Linkin Park. I know that I will inevitably have some sort of wardrobe crisis on the wedding but I know that I can always count on Jenn to save the day!

Dylan

Groomsman

I met Dylan my sophomore year and I was amazed that one person could own so many articles of black clothing. Dylan introduced us to his punk rock band, and it was cool to tell people that I knew someone who’s music was available on I-Tunes (RIP). We also went to see Dylan play both live music and hockey. Despite him being almost as blind as Jocelyn, he makes a pretty good goalie, and the games were always wildly entertaining, if only for the inebriated shenanigans of the other fans heckling the opposing team’s players.

Adelina

Bridesmaid

Adelina is the 14 to my 13! We joined the sorority next to each other and continue to be besties! Adelina is one of the bubbliest person's I have ever met. One of our favorite memories together was listening to Enrique Iglesias while she was driving. We were all singing along when Adelina decided to mute the music while we screamed Baby I like it! Another funny memory was when Adelina drove us to Tahoe for a winter retreat. She saw a beautiful sunset and decided that she wanted to take a picture so she got Heidy to hold the wheel while she was still driving. We made it out safely and Adelina was able to take her picture. Adelina is definitely someone you should try to meet. She has been all over the world and has many stories to tell. Fun fact she and her husband lived in China for a year.

Nestor

Groomsman

Jocelyn had long talked about her friend Nestor and I was fortunate enough to be on the same team as him during the annual kickball game a few years ago. Not only was Nestor instrumental in our team winning the game, but he played a pivotal role in Jocelyn and I ending up together. He could tell there was something between us and gave me the final push I needed to pursue a relationship with her… and here we are. Though I needed to formally ask him with a fancy box like all the girls received, I am excited to have him as one of my groomsmen.

Jennifer

Flower Girl

Jennifer is one of the original Cordi Crew members. We met at Cordilleras and she was able to witness and be part of our love story. John and I would make up excuses to hang out so we'd invite all of our favorite coworkers to go out for food and drinks afterwork. Jennifer is such a hardworking, sweet, and compassionate individual who shares our dark humor. This girl can also party. She can hit all those high notes from Mariah Carey's song We belong together. Whenever we get together it's tradition to sing it with all our heart.

Maria

Flower Girl

What can I say about my wild child. Maria is one of a kind and I miss seeing her everyday at work. JoJo can say that Maria helped us get together. Maria used to plan happy hour get togethers after work, which John and I used as an excuse to hang out. Maria would always call us out and say "When are mom and dad going to get together." One of my favorite memories together is pulling pranks on her to scare her as she came in late to work. There was also the Mario Kart Halloween incident. If you don't know you should ask lol
