As a couple, we share many joys together. We love drinking coffee, whipping up food and making music. We also love spending time with our friends and family. But beyond that, there’s someone who we love more than anything, even more than each other.

The person at the centre of our marriage, and the one we love the most, is not each other, but God. We believe that God is the one who lovingly created us to be in relationship with Him. However, we rejected him and are now deserving of His judgement - death and eternal separation from Him.

Even though we turned away from Him, God still loves us. He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die in our place, taking the punishment we deserved. Jesus then rose to life, conquering death and sin, reuniting those who trust in Him to God forever. To us rebellious sinners, Christ gives us the free gift of eternal life and a perfect relationship with Him!

Therefore, we love God, because God first loved us. We also love Him because that’s what we’re made to do. As a couple, we want our marriage and our lives to reflect the love that God has for us, and for you as well! Since God never stopped loving us, it is our commitment to never stop loving each other, in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, till death, or till Jesus returns to rule as King.
