Question

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Both ceremony & reception will be at Larkfield. The ceremony will be outdoor in the garden, followed by semi-indoor cocktail hour and ballroom dining indoor.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 4pm. Guests arriving after 4pm will not be allowed into the ceremony space. Welcome drinks and hospitality service begins at 3pm but please be sure to arrive by 3:30pm to give you enough time to grab a drink, mingle and settle in for the ceremony!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! We will have a valet at Larkfield (both ceremony and reception are on-site). Valet parking is already paid for and should be free for our guests. Gratuity is appreciated but not mandatory.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses.

Any special attire notes that we should note?

Answer

We are excited to showcase our Chinese-American upbringing & cultures for our wedding, we would appreciate both sides be respected and for guests to avoid wearing white or bright red.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We will have a shuttle to and from the Melville Marriott to Larkfield (our venue) before the ceremony & after the reception. The first pickup is scheduled to depart at 2:15pm and will be making as many round trips as possible until 3:30pm. Due to holiday weekend traffic, our shuttle may only be able to make two pickups. Please note that our ceremony begins promptly at 4:00pm and we prefer that all guests arrive by 3:30pm. Drinks and snacks will available starting at 3 p.m. for those arriving early. We encourage guests to catch the earlier shuttles since there may be limited seating.

Is there transportation after the reception back to the hotel?

Answer

Yes, the first shuttle will depart Larkfield to the Marriott Melville at 10:30pm and will return every 30-40 minutes thereafter.

Is there an after party?

Answer

No, we do not have an after party planned but the bar at the Melville Marriott hotel will be open until 2AM for guests who wish to keep the night going!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We want to include as many of our family and friends in our special day as possible. If your invitation or RSVP says the name of your guest or “Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Do you have a hotel block?

Answer

Yes! A block of rooms have been reserved for our guests at a discounted rate at the Marriott Melville Long Island, please book by August 5th to receive our rate.
