We're so excited to celebrate with you!

We met the old-fashioned way, via a dating app. ;p We matched on Hinge in July 2019, and after messaging back and forth for a month decided we were ready to meet. Our first date was at Maxx Air in Abilene, Texas, an indoor trampoline park. We ended up staying past the hour of jump time we paid for and talked for several hours after. After a couple more dates we made it official, and we've been having fun ever since.

We bought tickets in March 2021 to attend the immersive Van Gogh experience in November 2021 in Dallas. I'm sure Shane had no intention of proposing when we originally purchased the tickets, but we had seen it online and thought it looked like such a cool experience. Fast forward to November. Callie had an idea that Shane might propose that weekend, but she didn't say anything because earlier in the year she had joked about Shane proposing on the hot air balloon ride they went on in Arizona, and Shane said he couldn't now that she had said something. We were in the immersive room with the display of Van Gogh's art on the walls and floor. When Starry Night, both Shane and Callie's favorite, was on Shane turned to Callie and asked her to marry him. And of course, Callie said, "Yes!"
