A “small” get together. That’s what their friends called it. That’s what everyone thought it was. But who knew it could turn into something big? A small get together in New Jersey is where Crystal and Omar met. They grew from friends, to dating, to in a relationship, to eventually becoming an inseparable team that chose to spend the rest of their lives together. That small get together wasn’t so small after all. Please help us celebrate the union of Crystal Ortiz and Omar Crewe in a big way!

What Crystal thought was a birthday dinner, ended up being one of the most magical nights. Omar guided her to a lightly dimmed balcony where candles lead her to three tables. On the first table was a frame displaying various date night photos. The second table had a bag filled with sweet peas, cheddar cheese, and Tootsie Rolls- all referring to their favorite nicknames (toots, sweet pea, cheddar chunks). The last table was a heart shaped box that when opened, read “Marry Me”.

A global pandemic did not stop these two from having their own "Carrie Bradshaw and Big" elopement moment in New York City. With the help of family, they were married by Ms. Tamara Henry Crewe (Omar’s mom) in Crystal’s hometown apartment in Brooklyn, NY. The night was filled with smooth dance moves and good vibes.
