Things To Do

Bar K

Bar K

501 Berkley Parkway, Kansas City, MO 64120

This was practically Tim and Taryn's second home while living in Kansas. It's a dog park, and a bar and restaurant in one.. what more could you ask for? You don't even need a dog to visit, just go grab a local beer, pet some cute dogs and watch them play, then run inside to grab a bite before you go play with more dogs and enjoy live music and games they also provide. Do it for Hobi (Tim and Taryn's furry son)

Boulevard Brewing Company

Boulevard Brewing Company

2501 Southwest Boulevard, Kansas City, MO 64108

Tim and Taryn would frequent Boulevard's Sunday Bingo and slam Boulevard Wheat's every Chiefs Game and spend way too much in their amazing gift shop. They've got great bits including some KC barbecue options, and shuffleboard.. what's not to love about this place??

Crossroads Arts Disctrict

Crossroads Arts Disctrict

Kansas City, MO 64108

The Crossroads Art District might be the area Tim and Taryn would frequent the most on their KC adventures. It holds the most and the best breweries in Kansas City and is always a good time. Hit up the International Tap House, Border Brewery, Red Sash Brewery, Empirical Brewery, and then have more beer and food at City Barrel brewery before your nightcap beer at Casual Animal... can you tell we like beer??

J. Rieger & Co.

J. Rieger & Co.

2700 Guinotte Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64120

J. Rieger & Co is a fantastic KC distillery and restaurant that Tim and Taryn would find themselves at during many fun night outs. Their cocktail list is fire and food is always so delicious. Be sure to ride the slide down from the lounge. That's right. There is a SLIDE you can ride down in this distillery.

Country Club Plaza

Country Club Plaza

Kansas City, MO 64112

The Plaza is a gorgeous shopping and dining area of Kansas City that is famously decorated in its "Plaza Christmas Lights" during the holidays. It's charming streets are adorn with fabulous shops and some of the best bites and drinks that Tim and Taryn would regularly have date night outs. Absolutely worth a visit when in KC.

Messenger Coffee Co. + Ibis Bakery

Messenger Coffee Co. + Ibis Bakery

1624 Grand Boulevard, Kansas City, MO 64108

Tim has a passion for coffee, so naturally Taryn took him here on one of their first dates. It became a staple whenever we needed a caffeine kick in the city. The building is gorgeous, coffee is fantastic, and their pastries and service is perfection. Absolutely worth a visit.

Power and Light District

Power and Light District

Kansas City, MO

If you're looking for a more lively night and someplace to party, the Power and Light district it your place. Hit up the Irish bars, dance to some music, and hit up the shops and popular restaurants if you want to recreate the crazier night outs that Tim and Taryn have experienced! It's a great place to watch the big game in a grand crowd!
