We're getting married

Amir and LaNae were introduced by a mutual friend in January 2014. LaNae asked the mutual friend to introduce the two of them at an upcoming outing. Amir arrived to the outing knowing he was there to meet someone but had no idea what she looked like. With the help of their mutual friends, an introduction was made. There was an instant connection. To their surprise they both lived in Leimert Park and were next-door neighbors for over a year prior to their first meeting. They exchanged numbers, correction, Amir gave LaNae his business card. Amir had another engagement to go to, so he left. Shortly after he left, he quickly returned and said he much rather be right where he was. From that night on the two were glued at the hip.

The two went on to live next door to each other for the first three years of their relationship. One weekend, Amir surprised LaNae with a puppy, Kemba. LaNae couldn’t have a dog in her apartment, so it was a clear decision that the two needed to move in together! LaNae still believes Amir set her up, knowing that she would move in once they got a puppy. Their little family of three, eventually turned into a family of four, adding another puppy, Ramsey, to the mix in their 6th year of being together.

In year seven, Amir took LaNae on a road trip up Pacific Coast Highway. Stopping in a different city each day. Starting in Santa Barbara, then Pismo Beach, Big Sur, Half Moon Bay, Carmel, Pebble Beach and Napa. Once they made it to Napa, Amir proposed to LaNae, while walking along the Napa River. By the end of 2021, enamored and engaged, Amir and LaNae moved to Portland, Oregon. Signifying the start of a new chapter in life, love and career.
