Things To Do

If you are looking for places to dine or gather at while you are in town, we recommend checking out a few of the following local spots.

Klockow Brewing Company

36 Southeast 10th Street, Grand Rapids, MN 55744

This is a locally owned brewery that let's you bring in food and games. They normally have lots of fun stuff going on and do a great job supporting the community.

Mesabi Trail

Mesabi Trail, Taconite, MN 55709

If you want to get out and see the leaves, walking or biking the Mesabi Trail is a must. You can access it from several places, but one of the easiest is actually at Courtney's office- Itasca County Fairgrounds. One of our favorite local biridng locations is near the Prairie River Damn, accessible off of Co Rd 61 between Coleraine and Hwy 38.

Rapids Brewing Company

214 North Pokegama Avenue, Grand Rapids, MN 55744

Good food. Good brews. Neat environment. A little more on the pricey side if you are just looking to have a beer. There is a little "dive bar" next door called The Tied. We've never been there but it looks neat.

Ravenstone Abbey

501 Cole Street, Coleraine, MN 55722

This is a cool little place worth checking out. They have an axe throwing experience that is available for booking and is a cool feature to the Bovey/Coleraine area. They offer food, drinks, and coffee as well. Check their Facebook for the most up to date information.

Woody's Bar & Grill

Grand Rapids, MN 55744

NEW March 2026! Locally owned by a high school friend of Courtney's. Beers, pizza, and other easy eats. Check them out on Facebook.

Forest Lake Restaurant

1201 Northwest 4th Street, Grand Rapids, MN 55744

Best spot if you are looking for a local breakfast joint.
