Mike first made himself known to me after I started working at the distribution center where he was working. He jumped into my Twitter DMs with a smooth, "Do you work at the DC?". I thought, not again.. not another weirdo. He offered me help which obviously, I declined. Shortly after that, we found ourselves talking non stop through social media (thank you Snapchat!). We decided to hang out for Halloween at Rustic Ties Halloween party on October 29th of 2021 but before that, Mike wanted to grab lunch just to see if we clicked. Heck, I couldn't imagine spending all night with someone I just met that I couldn't stand. At the very least, I would get a free lunch out of it! We ended up hitting it off immediately. Sitting across from him at Asteroga Ale House in Herkimer, I couldn't believe how easy it felt. The few times we weren't talking with one another, we didn't need to. The silence was comfortable. We said our see ya laters and went our separate ways until the Halloween party. I remember being so excited to get dolled up and see his reaction. At the Halloween party, we drank and we danced the whole night. Again, there was no awkward silence or weirdness from meeting someone new. Mike met my dad and Becky under "friend from work" status. I think they could sense it would turn into something more since my dad went up to Mike and asked, "What are your intentions with my daughter?". Maybe my dad knew that night that Mike and I would get married.
