Flathead Valley offers a wide range of recreational activities that attract visitors the world over, including Flathead Lake--a large natural freshwater lake in Montana that spans over 200 square miles and offers a stunning perspective along its 185 miles of shoreline. The lake can be accessed by the many state recreation areas (some favorites are) Elmo, Big Arm, Finley Point, Walstad Memorial Park, Yellow Bay, Woods Bay, and Wayfarer are among the public access sites that offer full amenities for picnicking, swimming, camping, doing watersports, fishing, and boating. Flathead Lake also offers countless fishing and boating opportunities. If you are not from the area and haven't visited, please do yourself a favor and schedule a day or two to visit Glacier National Park. It is about an hour drive and includes the most scenic views. Established in 1910, Glacier is a great location for a day visit or even adding on a couple day’s stay before or after our big day.
