We met while volunteering for our friend Will's mayoral campaign. Jordan was handling the design and social media, and Nathan was mapping out door-to-door routes. Though Will lost the election (by a measly 200 votes. Your vote counts, people!), many friendships were formed over the course of the campaign. From there, we hung out with the same friend group and eventually realized there was a more-than-friendly spark, so we went on a date shortly after Christmas of 2017. The rest, as they say, is history.

On the last weekend before Jordan was moving from Hickory to Columbia, Nathan set up what Jordan's friends affectionally call a "shrine" of memories, ticket stubs, photos, and flowers in the living room of Jordan's townhouse. He'd prepared a really sweet speech that Jordan barely remembers because she was so excited, and when he got down on one knee, she said yes as quickly as humanly possible.
