Our story began almost a decade ago. There was a cute boy coming to North Posey from St. Wendel and he decided to run against Emily for class VP. In typical Emily fashion, she ran a strong campaign and may have talked a little trash about the new kid on the block. After Emily won the election, she noticed that her opponent was pretty cute, so she asked him to snowball and the rest is history. On November 4, 2016, Johnson asked her to be his girlfriend. Fast forward through high school dances, graduations, homecomings, and probably too many parties together, we ventured off to college. Johnson attended Purdue for Construction Management and Emily stayed in Evansville and went to UE for nursing. Long distance wasn't easy, especially when Emily studied abroad in England for a semester her senior year, but through many long drives and late night phone calls, we both graduated in 2024. After Johnson moved home, in September of 2024, he bought his first home that will now be our first home together. Then, on Friday, July 25, 2025 Johnson proposed to Emily on a piece of land that they will build their forever home together. Through many happy tears, Emily said yes and that's what brings us to today. Each of you have had a part in our love story over the years, and we could not be more blessed to celebrate our love with you!
