John and Seena believe that God brought them each to South Florida for a reason – Seena from Indiana and John from California – and that every step along the way led them to each other. The two matched on Hinge in August of 2023 and met shortly after for dinner at a Fort Lauderdale favorite, El Camino on Las Olas. What started with casual conversation (and Seena politely pretending to like guacamole) quickly turned into something neither of them expected. Within a few short weeks, Seena beat John in a friendly game of axe throwing, they were sharing pizza at sunset on the beach, John took Seena flying for the first time, and the two were singing along at a Billy Currington concert. With each new adventure, it became clear their connection was something truly special. On September 15, 2023, John officially asked Seena to be his girlfriend, and the rest is history. The couple has been almost inseparable since and life simply feels better together. From continuous trips, spontaneous adventures, walks by the beach, rubber duck hunts, sporting events, concerts, and weekends with friends and family, the two discovered how effortlessly life fit together. They often joke that they were born in the wrong era, sharing a love for tradition, faith, and simple joys of being together. John proposed in St. Augustine on July 3, 2025, with Seena's family in attendance – unknowingly the same date and city that Seena's dad proposed to her mom – making the moment even more meaningful. Now, surrounded by the people they love most, John and Seena can't wait to begin their next chapter, promise forever as husband and wife, and God willingly start a wonderful family together.
